Managed People Solutions is looking to hire a Regional Sales Manager for a very well-known Liquor Company based in the Garden Route.
Job Purpose
A Regional Sales Manager is responsible for coordinating and supervising the sale of a company's goods and services across a specified physical district. He or she may be responsible for finding new clients or buyers in an area, distributing promotional items and advertisements, managing a team of sales consultants, and conducting professional customer service.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the feeding of the sales pipeline.
- Check stock report and inform all staff of any issue products. Arrange allocation if needed and manage that allocation.
- Trade visits.
- Daily situational management.
- Effective Management.
- Controlling of the allocated budget.
- Mapping potential customers and possible leads.
- Assist with and build client relationships.
- Responsible for cycle briefing, feedback, feedforward and cycle development meetings, roll out and feedback.
- Authorize and manage deals, promotional stock, TSA spend, special deliveries, follow up and troubleshoot any difficult customers, situations the reps encounter on a daily basis.
- Manage the top line sales figures for the region.
- Monitor on-hold customers.
- Sales performance management.
- Analyse the reps sales figures and guide them on how/which customers to offer sales strategy in order to reach targets, comparing last year with this year.
- Efficiently activate the “Know your customer” strategy, and maintain the data integrity.
- Take full responsibility for performance management of all direct reports, managing their performance in relation to quality standards and agreed benchmarks and objectives, focusing on productivity benchmarks are met (Team is motivated with high morale).
Requirements
- Diploma/ Degree relating to Sales and Marketing Management is Essential.
- Knowledge of the relevant legislation: Competition Act, Consumer Protection, Liquor Legislation and Customer Corporate Compliance.
- 2-3 Years' experience in both on and off con sales consulting.
- 5 Years’ experience in FMCG environment within the liquor industry.
